The EuroTube Foundation presented the design for mechanical and civil engineering components of the DemoTube hyperloop demonstrator to partner companies.
The design review meeting is a major milestone for the DemoTube project. The meeting is intended to show EuroTube’s industry partners the current technical status of the project, and give an opportunity to ask questions about the proposed concepts and explore new solutions that could be applied.
The subsystems that reached a technical maturity level to qualify them for a production order release represent the minimal viable elements for an operating facility e.g. airlock, valve, vacuum assurance system and the GammaShellPipe concrete pipe.
The invited guests from EuroTube’s partner companies also visited the EuroTube lab at Empa, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Material Sciences and Technology to get a better overview on how the single interfaces in the system are tested and on how product vacuum qualifications are conducted .
