In March 2019, the first geotechnical investigations were carried out on site in Collombey-Muraz in the canton of Valais, where various soil samples were taken along the 3 km long section on which the AlphaTube test track is going to be built. Various soil samples were taken from different soil layers up to a depth of 20 metres and analysed in the laboratory. For further planning and the subsequent construction of the test track, these underground investigations are of central importance in order to ensure the quality and structural strength of the soil.
